If you were an employed artist (actor, musician, writer, etc.), you may be eligible to deduct a portion of the expenses you incurred to earn your employment income.
Even if you did not earn enough income from your project to cover the expenses in the current year, report them on your income tax return so that some of the expenses may be carried forward and used against future income.
